Hatta Watchtower is a historical landmark in Hatta, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is one of the two round watchtowers overlooking the mountain village, offering stunning views of the surrounding Hajar Mountains.
The watchtower was built in the 1880s and served as a lookout point for villagers to keep an eye out for danger. It is made of traditional materials like mountain stones and mud bricks, with a palm frond ceiling. The tower is 2.5 meters above ground level and has a small door and a semi-circular staircase leading to the roof.
Today, the Hatta Watchtower is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors a glimpse into the region’s history and culture. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the Hatta Valley and the surrounding mountains.
